Identifying the Characteristics 

of Rocks!

Kids and rocks...oh yeah! Looking, touching, examining, thinking about rocks!

Before we got started, we discussed four attributes: texture, shape, color, and size. We listed on the chalk board words that would help us describe each of these attributes.

Using magnifying glasses and touch we looked carefully and purposefully at Mrs. Waugh's collection of rocks.
